ABOUT US

Kent Hibino
Kent is a third-generation farmer born and raised in the Salinas Valley, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for agriculture, the values of hard work, stewardship, and community. A graduate of Salinas High School, he continued his education at UC Davis and, upon returning, learned valuable lessons working alongside his father. Today, Kent manages Henry Hibino Farms, LLC, overseeing the production of row crop vegetables and strawberries.
Beyond the farm, Kent is active in the community and has served on the boards of Partners for Peace, SVMH Foundation, and currently Monterey County Farm Bureau. When his children were young, he volunteered for organizations like Toro Baseball/Softball, Farm Day, and 4H. Kent is also involved civically by serving on the Monterey Subbasin Committee for the GSA and as director for Monterey One Water.
Kent has 3 children and is married to his wife, Aimee, who is a physical therapist in Salinas. His eldest daughter is finishing her graduate work at Cal Poly, and his son recently graduated from Cal Poly. His youngest daughter is currently attending UC Davis and playing volleyball. Outside of work and community involvement, Kent enjoys cooking for family and friends, hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing, and golf.
